Digital Monter

Ok, every thing is a mess, I have to re edit almost all the special effects, and the monster will be completely digital, the old monster is History, I do not know when I'll finish the movie, but I'll finish it, the investment in time and money is to much to live it just there.

The Return of the Jedi

I'm going to re-edit the movie completely, why?, well, is hard to explain, a lot has to be with computers, to give you an idea, now a hate PC and love Mac, I hope this can explain a lit of bit, exist a lot of other factors, that, I do not want to addressed it here, I'm moving forward.

I hope I can save the majority of the special effect I did, I'll know when I have every thing together in the new system.

I want to re-shoot the monster scenes, but, I do not know if I'll have the money and the time.

With all I have, I feel I can finish it... Will see...

You ask, how long?... Well, I believe like a year from now, may be more, hope less.

Almost there

OK, this is one of the last entries for this blog, I'm preparing for the film distribution. Comeback later to receive more information.  Thank you.

Render and more render

The Final Movie in not DONE, I'm in the final process, but is not done, at this level every time I need to see the movie outside the Avid take days to render, so many layers make this process very slow, but, well, I do not have budget to up grade my equipment. 

During this days I watch some parts of the movie with a test of the final sound track outside the Avid and some small parts of the movie need to be re-edit but every time a re-edit the video the audio go out of sync because is been edited in an other system, I need to wait for the audio to be finish and then all together in the Avid I'll make this final edits no before... When al the editing is Ok, color correction is check, audio, Sound effects are in place, credits are done, the movie will be locked, after the movie is locked the process of conversion from 30i to 24P begins, and this, I hope not take too long... But, almost every thing at this moment is RENDERING.

How long will take this? Really I'm not sure but let say 6 weeks may be more. I'll let you know.

New Monster is in the movie

Finally all the shoots with the monster are in the movie, I need one more pass just to be sure that the monster is not needed more in the movie, looks very good....

Next, some easy shoot 3 to be exact and re-edit the final sequence.

At the same time audio sweetening is perform in the movie.

Color correction is at 25 %. 

Monster Shoot DAY

Today we film the monster, was an adventure for all of us, we took like almost 4 hrs just to put the contact lenses and the complete make up to Cesar(The Monster), but, was grate, I have al the shoots I need, half were chroma-key and the rest in the sets.

Every thing was I expected, now the editing...

44 visual effects MONITORS are done

Finally all 44 monitors "digital effects" are done, now continuo with the more difficult ones.
